The Blackpool Ice Dromes Charitable Association (BIDCA) once again invited The Boathouse Youth, amongst other local charities, to attend its annual Christmas Ice Show at the Blackpool Pleasure Beach ice arena for this year’s performance of Peter Pan – A Magical Adventure on Ice.

We facilitated transport and supervision for 120 members from our Infant and Junior age-groups across our Universal and Pathway Programmes. Courtesy of Blackpool Transport Services the children travelled in style on the company’s Palladium busses and were fuelled with a sausage roll, popcorn and a drink (it’s Christmas, after all … and we included some fruit for good measure!).

As well as offering complimentary tickets to their ice show, BIDCA have also made direct grants to The Boathouse Youth from monies raised to support other aspects of our work. They are true to their slogan of ‘children helping children’.
